TAF2N; TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, RNA polymerase II, N, 68kD (RNA-binding protein 56) Location: 17q11.1-q11.2 Alias: RBP56 Overview: TAF2N was identified in 1996 on the basis of its partial homology to the EWS and FUS genes which are frequently involved in translocations in human sarcomas. A subset of extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcomas have t(9;17)(q22;q11) involving the TAF2N and NR4A3 (CHN) genes. Return to TAF2N Contents
