  Summary Information

EMS1; EMS1 sequence (mammary tumor and squamous cell carcinoma-associated (p80/85 src substrate))

Location: 11q13

Overview: Chromosome 11q13 amplification is frequently found in certain cancers; particularly in breast cancer (approx 13%) and head and neck cancers (approx 29%). The amplified 11q13 region includes EMS1 and many other candidate genes which may or may not have a primary role in carcinogenesis.
