Cancer clinical trials are controlled studies of people with cancer which are crucial to the development of new and better treatments. Clinical trials answer specific questions about a new treatment or a new way of using existing treatments. Often
randomised clinical trials compare the best known standard therapy with a newer therapy to see if one produces more cures and causes fewer side effects than the other.

- Cancer Clinical Trials Database - CancerNet An extensive database of US and International clinical trials organised by type of cancer, trial type and location. Searches can be restricted by country, and by state (USA). Search results can be customised for patients or for health professionals.
- CenterWatch - Clinical Trials Listing Service (USA) This site includes details of over 40,000 clinical trials and including some oncology related studies. There are sections for patients and for health professionals. It includes a service to notify users of new trials in their area of interest.
